Joint Opposition and SLFP planned to start conversations to join both parties together again. According to the reports leadership goes to MP Mr. Kumara Welgama from the Joint Opposition and Minister Mr. Mahinda Amaraweera from UPFA for these conversations.
The aim of these conversations is to contest as a one party to the next Provincial Election. As an undivided party after the win they planned to take to power from the next Provincial, Parliamental and Presidental elections and establish a SLFP government. Joint Opposition has expressed a condition that do not discriminate their members.
SLFP leaders has been informed by Joint Opposition and SLFP that who are the members which come to these conversations by heart. From these conversations, they decided only to take the power and not to take former president Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksha to PM, reports said.
