Term of office of the present chief of CB will end on this 30th. The UNP biased webs say that there is a prompt to appoint deputy minister Mr. Eran Wickramatunga as the Acting Chief of CB.

To accept this appointment Mr. Eran will resign from the parliament, reports said.  Government decided to appoint an acting chief to CB while ending the investigations of COPE committee on Mr. Arjun Mahendran.
