Yesterday the 24th of June 2016 a petition of fundamental rights has been proffer to the Supreme Court about to stop giving luxury vehicles to parliamentarians. Petition has proffered by the Lawyer Mr. Nagahananda Kodithuwakku.

Named respondents are the President, Minister of Finance and some others. The petitioner also informed that there is a detriment of 30 million from one MP to the government on donating tax free vehicle permits.

He further amended that could not accept such a cheat and requesting to stop giving luxury vehicle permits to MPs.
