New ruins discovered from an illegal construction site at Sigiriya

While cleaning and burning debris of a government owned land near Halmillawewa lake at Thalkote, Sigiriya discovered ancient ruins of several dagobas. This land cleaned for a construction of a tourist hotel.

Ruins of large dagobas and stone piles was discovered and ruins also be seen near the constructing buildings. This land is located between the Sigiriya and Pidurangala.

Forest officer said that six people have questioned about this incident.
